A Time To Walk With Spirit

My favourite season and once again we begin our Lenten Journey, each of us doing it a little differently as we find our own path to walk with Spirit. I invite you to join me each morning of Lent beginning on Ash Wednesday.

On Wednesday of this week we will begin again our Lenten journey. This is a time when we, as Christians, step aside to intentionally reflect on the journey of Jesus and tend to our own walk with Spirit.

As many of you already know, this is my favourite season of the church year. For me,  it has always been

a time to recalibrate my life;
to take stalk of where I am and where I am being led.
It is a time to commune with Divine, talking and listening.

Not that I don’t do that at other times but this is a more guided and intentional practice that grounds me again in the source of my being. Every year looks a little different. Sometimes it includes a Lenten fast; sometimes it includes a daily ritual of exercise; sometimes it means beginning each day drumming and connecting to mother earth; sometimes it means starting my day with a focused meditation.

This year I have decided to do a Lenten fast and to begin each day with a focused reflection using a book by Joyce Rupp called “Jesus, Friend of my soul.”

My Invitation to You

I encourage you to find what works for you in tending the spirit. Be intentional about a daily practice and open yourself to Divine presence. If you would like to join with me I invite you to join, on-line, at First United Truro, Youtube each morning. A video will be posted by 7am each day beginning on Ash Wednesday. Let us walk with Jesus, learn from him and open our beings to grace-filed moments that have the potential to transform our lives.

Blessings
Valerie
