Blessed Are All Who Call This Place Home

We are all connected in this amazing creation and there is a space for each one of us. The world is indeed majestic.
Blessed are all who call this place home.

On Sunday we drove to Amherst to celebrate our grandson’s 4th birthday. By the time we returned to Truro is was dark but such a beautiful night. Turning off Robie Street onto Nova Drive we came face to face with this beautiful Buck ( I think I saw 6 points). I offhandedly said to Mark

“wonder where the rest of his family is?”

We turned into the driveway and got out of the car when my earlier question was possibly answered. There nestled among the trees in the back yard where three deer. One looked like the momma with a fawn not far from her and the third was also a Doe. They did not move as we made our way into the house, even when we turned on the back deck lights to get a better look they simply looked in our direction. They looked peaceful and certainly content.

Now I know that some folks in town do not like sharing their spaces with these deer, and admittedly they can clear a garden pretty quick, but in that moment I could not help but smile as I bade them good night.

A Space for Each One Of Us

Once again I am reminded that we are all connected in this amazing creation and there is a space for each one of us. The world is indeed majestic and I am but one that makes up the whole. In reflecting on this scene I am drawn to Psalm 84 and these are the words that my soul sings

Creation

How lovely is this dwelling place
My spirit is fed
My thirst is quenched
My heart sings!

Even the sparrow finds a home
and the swallow, a place to lay her young.
On the mountains I behold wonder.
In the valleys, a place of peace.
Rivers nourish the soul.
The sun brings forth life
and night, a time of rest.

Blessed are all who call this place home.

Blessings
